UPDATES, June 17th, 2008

I have had a steady stream of refinish work over the past 2 months, and have had the privilege of doing work for some really great people.  I am actually running a slight backlog at the moment in terms of project work, but I'm looking to upgrade some of my equipment (a bench buffer, some more spray guns, more bench space) to increase my throughput.

My stock of Gibson and Fender colors has improved - I now have supplies of Fiesta Red, Daphne Blue, Lake Placid Blue, Ember Red, Cardinal Red, Black and White lacquers - on hand at all time.  Other colors can of course be procured.  See my blog for examples of most of these finishes.

I have updated the Testimonials page with a few of the more major projects I have finished in the past months - there will be a few more going up there by July as well.

I also have two instruments from my "stash" up for sale - a 1977 Fender Mustang Bass & a 1965 Gibson Firebird 3 guitar - check 'em out !

I also continue to update my blog, the GuitarGarage , with new posts at least once a week and updates to older posts as my projects proceed.

ABOUT THIS SITE

I am a long time guitar enthusiast and collector, who has done his own restoration work for the past 15 years.  I have decided to branch out into doing work for others as well now, and intend to offer a full line of repairs and restoration, with a focus on vintage electric instruments from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

I have a great deal of experience working on Fender basses, Gibson and Rickenbacker electrics and Danelectros and Hagstroms of all shapes and sizes, and many others that are much more obscure.  Check out my Complete Projects page to see instruments I've worked on in the past.

I welcome challenges and its very gratifying to take a "basket case" and turn it back into a fine looking and playing instrument.  Let me know if you have any projects in mind and I will be willing to tell you what I think it would take to repair or restore it.  Visit my Services page for a description of some of the guitar services I offer and the approximate prices.

Though my business per se is relatively new, I do have some customer Testimonials from my customers, along with pictures of their completed instruments.  This page will continue to be updated as I complete and return various instruments to their owners.

I will also be selling vintage instruments and on occasion vintage guitar parts through this site, and I will post these on my For Sale page.  I have an interesting collection of instruments and also come across different ones all the time - so please let me know what you are looking for.

Finally, Blog & Links page contains a link to my blog on guitar repair and refinishing, and which also contains a bunch of interesting and useful links to vintage guitar sites and resources for repair work.

I can be contacted by email at, whether its about repairs, advice or if you have questions about anything on the site:   repairs@bostonguitarrepair.com

Thanks for stopping by,

Krishna
